Outdoor Fun In The Pool

The Lester Prairie pool is a magnet for children for miles around.

And, thanks to a final endowment of $200,000 from the late Art Schwitchtenberg – the largest donation ever received by the city – the pool’s future is financially secure, and will be able to provide enjoyment for generations to come.

The pool is a service provided by the City of Lester Prairie that is well used in the warm months of the year.

A fun, family environment can be expected at the pool as well as clean and newly renovated shower facilities, a concession stand, lifeguards, and a park right next door.

The pool, complete with a fun water slide and diving board, boasts a kiddie pool area with fun water toys as well.

During off-pool hours, the pool can be rented out for private events like birthday parties or family get-togethers. The cost is $75 an hour and includes two lifeguards.

The pool house recently received new epoxy floors as well as new toilets and bathroom stalls.

Pool goers are welcome to bring their own food along with them for the day, but can enjoy the concession stand also.

The pool opens in June as soon as school lets out and closes for the year when school resumes in the fall.

A considerable amount of renovation has been completed to the pool and the pool deck in the past several years and has improved the overall “fun factor” for all.
